After a recent workshop, a woman – let’s call her Colleen – approached me to thank me for making a boring, dry topic entertaining. We were soon joined by another attendee – a business owner in need of some help online. Our conversation turned to websites and Colleen made some very good suggestions about our friend’s project. As the conversation progressed, I asked her to tell me more about the types of sites she specializes in.
I was expecting her to communicate her value by describing the way she helps her clients. Her answer?
I Just Code
Three tiny words. Not even ten letters. And with them Colleen diminished the importance of everything that had transpired in the minutes before. I was stunned.
